*******************Please read the instructions before applying the Propalms v5 Load Balancer patch*********************** files included with patch 0- LBpatch_v5.cmd --> The script file to apply the patch. 1- LoadManager.new --> LoadManager.dll Q>> What is the Load Balancer patch and what is it supposed to fix ? A>> The LoadBalancer has the following fixes included, 1) The App server would go to the False state on Propalms Console- Monitor- LoadBalancer page, when experiencing a temporary CPU or Memory spike. This has been fixed. 2) Users would get an error "Propalms TSE is not up and running" when launching applicaitons. This would happen when one of the online Propalms App servers would fail to register with the Master Load Balancer causing the entire Propalms team to be rendered 'Not Ready'. This has been fixed. 3) In case of running the Propalms App role and SPR role on the same Propalms server with published IP specified in Propalms Console, SPR would connect to the App server using the published IP instead of internal IP. This would need RDP port 3389 to be open on the public firewall. This has been fixed. Q>> Is this patch only applicable to Propalms TSE v5 ? A>> Yes, this patch should NOT be run on any previous versions of Propalms TSE. Q>> Propalms Servers running with which role should the Load Balancer patch be applied on ? A>> The LoadBalancer patch should ONLY be applied to Propalms servers running the LoadBalancer role. Q>> How do I apply the patch ? A>> Unzip the patch files to a suitable location on the Propalms LoadBalancer server and double click the script file "LBpatch_v5.cmd" to apply the patch. Note that the patch Stops and Starts the LoadBalancer service. This won't log-off any existing sessions on Propalms but no new connections will be made till the Load Balancer service enters the start state. Q>>How do I know if the LB patch has already been applied to my Propalms APP servers? A>> The file version for the files LoadManager.dll under \Program Files\Propalms\LoadBalancer folder would be 1.0.0.1. Q>> What if I run the LoadBalancer patch twice? A>> It wont harm. It will not remove or unregister any files. Q>> How can I roll back changes made by the LoadBalancer patch ? A>> The script renames (Org_LoadManager.old)and copies the orignal LoadManager.dll to the \Program Files\Propalms folder. Restore its orignal name and replace it with existing LoadManager.dll under Program Files\Propalms\LoadBalancer Note: Before replacing the orignal dll, stop the Propalms Load Balancer service and register the dll using the RegSvr32 command.
