Agreement marks Propalms’ expansion in African market.
Propalms announced in August that it has signed a distribution agreement with Phoenix Software Ltd, a national software distributor with an extensive network of resellers specialising in terminal services and desktop virtualization in South Africa.
Under this agreement, Phoenix Software will provide Propalms’ solutions to value-added resellers, system integrators and hosting providers that specialise in application deployment solutions and desktop virtualization. Propalms hopes to achieve a 10% market share in the VDI sector in South Africa, establishing itself in this expanding market.
“This agreement has come at an opportune moment and we look forward to rapidly expanding our VDI client base in South Africa with Phoenix Software” stated Owen Dukes; CEO Propalms Limited.
A closer look at the products
Propalms TSE, VDI and VPN simplify management and reduce the cost of delivering applications and virtual desktops; thus bringing these revolutionary technologies to the masses and making them accessible to SME’s and larger organisations. Desktop virtualization aims at reducing maintenance costs, which can account for up to 80% of the total cost of purchasing a piece of hardware and Propalms VPN brings unrivalled remote access to these facilities, allowing users to connect to their applications/ personal desktop from any device and any location.
CEO of Phoenix Software, Simon Campbell-Young adds that Propalms is a great addition to the best-of-breed solutions the company offers. “We pride ourselves on offering the best solutions to our customers, and our partnership with Propalms will only enhance our existing offering. VDI is the next wave of IT advancement. It is going to affect everyone who uses a computer on a day-to-day basis because VDI makes business, environmental, and financial sense. This is especially relevant locally, where energy savings have become a business necessity.”
