Web Management Console - Propalms TSE 6.5

TSE Dashboard

The TSE Dashboard provides a graphical view of the Propalms TSE Team with the most commonly required information targeted to the administrator dynamically in real-time. The Dashboard also serves as an administrative aid as all the objects are linked to the respective areas of the TSE Management Console meaning the administrator can simply click once to be taken to the section they require.

There are 6 graphical counters provided:

  • License Usage
This dial shows the total licenses installed and the concurrent user licenses in use across the whole TSE team
  • Active/Disconnected Sessions
This dial shows the percentage of active sessions compared to disconnected sessions currently making up the total session usage across the TSE team
  • Master Load Balancer
The bar chart graphic displays the current session usage on each application server. It also identifies which server holds the Master Load Balancer role and the current ranking of each application server.
  • Top Application Usage
This pie chart represents a report of the top published applications by session count
  • Status Monitor
The status monitor displays the current health of all of the components of the Propalms Team. If any component should fail the status monitor will display this in a ‘red’ state and the administrator can click on the object to further troubleshoot the problem
  • Objects
The objects counter serves as quick-links to the most commonly used areas of the management console

Manage

The manage section in the console is where the infrastructure of the system is installed and configured.

Manage - Applications

Easily publish applications across load balanced servers and deliver application access in seconds. The easy to use published application wizard takes the administrator step by step through the options meaning anyone with basic IT skills can successfully deliver applications to end users. Further to this published applications can easily be removed or disabled for maintenance with the check of a box providing a dynamic real time application delivery and management experience.

Manage - Servers

Centrally manage all of the Propalms TSE servers from the management console including server and role provisioning and configuration. Server diagnostics, print driver management, virtual IP support and content redirection can all be easily managed from within this area of the console.

Manage - Groups, OUs and Users

Control access to TSE published applications by domain group, organizational unit or individual user. Propalms TSE simplifies the administrative experience by only displaying the objects that you choose and securing access to applications based on membership of these. For example, a company has an Active Directory Group called ‘Accounts’ and wish to publish their accounts package to this group. In the TSE Management Console simply add the group to the published accounts application and any member of this group will automatically and instantly receive the application on their client device. Just as importantly, any user who is not a member of the ‘Accounts’ group will NOT receive the application.

Manage - Connection Settings

Not only can you manage what applications an end user can access but with TSE you can also control what capabilities the end user has within that application session using TSE Connection Settings. These configurable options allow an administrator to enforce settings such as local drive and printer access, performance tuning options for low bandwidth environments and many other TSE session related options.

Monitor

The Monitor section of the TSE Management Console provides a wealth of real time information about the system.

Monitor - Connections

The most commonly used page under Monitor is the Connections page where an administrator (or delegated individual) can view users session across the servers and interact with them in a number of ways including shadowing, messaging, resetting and disconnecting the sessions. All of this can be done from within the web based management console meaning the administrator is not limited as to where they can do this from allowing much more flexible administration options.

Reports

The reports facility in Propalms TSE allows an administrator to extract a multitude of information that TSE collects in the system.

Reports – Sessions

View past application sessions by users, applications, servers or client computers.

Reports – Applications

View applications usage reports including total time in use and peak usage.

Reports – Audit Log

View recent changes to the TSE system for change control and tracking purposes.
